ST. PAUL -- Michael Floyd’s home confinement sentence has been transferred to Minnesota, and the wide receiver will begin practicing next week with the Vikings. A source Wednesday confirmed some details and said the former Cretin-Derham Hall High School star, signed last week by the Vikings, is scheduled to arrive in Minnesota on Friday in preparation for spring drills with the team.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.—The Vikings have a possible replacement for Adrian Peterson in mind. Packers free-agent running back Eddie Lacy will visit Minnesota, his agency, Sports Trust Advisors, said Thursday in a tweet. He also will visit Seattle and Green Bay, where he has played the past four seasons. Peterson officially became a free agent Thursday for the first time since he entered the NFL in 2007. The Vikings last week declined his $18 million option for 2017.
