GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ) -- City leaders want residents to know the phone number associated with CodeRed alerts has changed. The number is now short code 76993. CodeRed provides residents with phone calls, text message, and e-mails regarding alerts, boil water orders, and other emergencies in Grand Forks.
REYNOLDS, ND (WDAZ) -- Providing for those who provide for us. Management at Reynolds United Co-op have helped customize an "app" tailored to the needs of farmers in our area. In a few swipes, farmers have access to market price, contracts, weather, and even scale tickets without ever leaving the field. Photojournalist Caitlin Jacobs gives us an inside look.
GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ-TV) -- In this week's "what's going around," does your husband turn into a big baby when he gets sick? As Stacie explains, one researcher says he may have a good reason. Doctor Colleen Swank with Altru is treating the stomach flu. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, fever, cramping, and diarrhea. Illness starts one to five days after exposure and typically lasts three to seven days.

On Thursday, the Whalen's Moving and Storage Crew, who partner with us, took the truck to the distribution point, and a lot of kids will have a Happier Holidays because of you!!!!
(WDAZ-TV) -- A variety of things are going around this week. Doctor Colleen Swank with Altru in Grand Forks tells WDAZ pink eye is going around. Eyes may turn pink or red, weep or ooze a gooey liquid, become itchy or burn, or get stuck shut, especially when you first wake up.
GRAND FORKS, (WDAZ)-- Some Midco Customers across the WDAZ area are unable to make phone calls. A Midco spokesperson says their issue is with fiber between Sioux Falls and Yankton. The company has dispatched a crew to look into the issue. They do not yet have an ETA on service restoration. It appears some wireless AT&T Customers are also unable to make calls. No word yet on if the outages are related.
GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ)--In a statement on Wednesday, Altru announced the system will construct a "new 21st century hospital" and expand clinic services, among other things. The company says the design process is well underway. Their goal is to have the new facility open sometime in 2022. In January, Altru's Main Clinic building was closed after a beam under the pharmacy failed. An Altru spokesperson previously said the company wants the main clinic to be demolished by the end of this year. We'll have the latest on this story online and on air.
THOMPSON, ND (WDAZ) --Crews are on the scene of a house fire on Maplewood Drive in Thompson. Altru, multiple fire departments, and the Grand Forks Sheriff's Department are also on scene. The owner of the home says he was alseep at the time of the fire, but woke up, and safely made it out of the home. He says he believes the fire started in the wall. We have a crew there and will bring you the latest on WDAZ at 6.
GRAND FORKS, ND (WDAZ-TV) -- It's that time of year again! Folks are gearing up for "Stack the Stage 2017". Here are some photos from last year's event. It's the United Way of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks and the area's kick off to it's 2017 fundraising campaign.
NORTH DAKOTA (WDAZ-TV) -- As so many people watch Hurricane Irma's path in Florida and along the coast, a local team is surveying the damage done by Hurricane Harvey. A spokesperson from The North Dakota Wing of the Civil Air Patrol says they're flying high over southeast Texas taking photographs of areas devastated by the storm.
