EMERADO, ND (WDAZ)--The weather played a factor on a Wednesday for local firefighters. On Wednesday, the Chief said the homeowners were lucky to have a place to return home to after the blaze. Plumes of smoke filled the air in downtown Emerado on Wednesday. “It was overwhelming to see the flames,” said Emerado Deputy Auditor, Sandi Antonson.

It appears that a son accidentally shot his mom with the bullet he used to take his own life. Questions still remain why gunfire rang out not once, but twice at the Stratford Apartments.
