Welcome to your news update. FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO AN ARSON ARREST. Investigators are offering a five thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest in a central Minnesota arson case. The Pennington County Sheriff's Office says they are still investigating the fire that damaged the Carpenter's Corner Bar about 10 miles northwest of Thief River Falls back in April.
Grand Forks, ND-- The Grand Forks Fire Department responded to a call of a fire in a gazebo in the backyard of 4710 River Oaks Circle on Wednesday, just before 10:30 p.m. When crews arrived on the scene they encountered smoke and fire with multiple spots beginning to ignite. Firefighters were able to quickly get the fire under control and extinguish it. Damage to the gazebo's structure and contents is estimated at $70,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Welcome to your news update. GRASS FIRE RIPPS THROUGH 15 HUNDRED ACRES NEAR LANCASTER A grass fire that's ripped through about 15-hundred acres near Lancaster is now 100 percent contained. Here's a look at an aerial view of what took place in Kittson County northeast of Grand Forks yesterday. Ambulance crews were even called in because flames were threatening buildings and got extremely close to livestock. Fire officials confirmed a cabin is a total loss from the fire.
UPDATE: LANCASTER— A grass fire that has consumed about 1,500 acres near Lancaster is now 100 percent contained, according to the Lancaster Fire Department.
Welcome to your news update. MAN WHO ADMITTED TO KILLING HIS EX-WIFE TO APPEAR IN COURT A man who admitted to killing his ex-wife in Jamestown will face a judge in court, today. The Stutsman district court office expects 27-year-old Kevin Hoff to be in court at 9:00 this morning. Hoff admitted to shooting and killing his ex-wife Nicole Gututala on Saturday in the parking lot of a Jamestown apartment building. Hoff and Gutalala have two children together. Gututala's body was taken to Bismarck for an autopsy.
FARGO - The Fargo Police Department and Fraternal Order of Police are inviting the public to the 23rd Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day Ceremony. It’s being held at the American Legion Memorial fountain in Lindenwood Park at noon today. The ceremony is honoring the 129 law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in 2017. Special recognition will be giong to Rolette County Deputy Colt Allery, who was killed on January 18, 2017.
WADENA COUNTY, Minn. – Six motorists were taken to the hospital after a crash on U.S. Highway 10 in Verndale just before 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

GRAND FORKS - The Grand Forks Fire Department is investigating a house fire that began in an attic on the 600 block of North 5th Street. The call came in just after 6:00 p.m. Sunday night, after smoke was reportedly coming from the house. It only took crews about 10 to 15 minutes to put out the small fire, which was contained to the attic of the home. The family is not displaced from the incident. Fire crews say they have a good idea what caused the fire, and will release more information as it becomes available.
